Servicemen Army Pfc. James H. Creech, Jr., 23, whose parents live on Route i 1, Zebulon, recently participated in “Sabre Hawk,” a Seventh Army maneuver which involved more than 100,000 troops in Germany. The maneuver, designed to test the combat readiness of Seventh Army units, was the largest winter exercise ever held in Germany. A cannoneer in the 265th Field Artillery Battalion’s Battery B, Creech entered the Army in Jan uary, 1954. He arrived in Europe in December, 1956. Creech attended Corinth-Holder High School. * ’ Private Preston O. Creech, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Creech of Route 1, Zebulon, has been assign ed to Company A, 18th Battalion, 1st Training Regiment at Fort Jackson for his basic infantry training.
